I have recently moved from the Jacksonville, FL area to Austin, TX.
In Florida I was connected with a company that offered charter
flights to various Harrah's locations. I was at a level where I
would
fly free and even, on certain ones, eligible to bring a guest.
So, I have been looking for a similar operation in Austin (or
possibly San Antonio). I keep watching the ads and a bus trip to
Coushatta (LA) is as close as I have seen yet. Then someone gave me
information on a charter flight that was flying to Reno from
Austin.
Eureka!! I had been eligible before to fly from Jacksonville to
Reno
(plus guest) but never took advantage of that one. I called the
number I was given, which happened to be Harrah's Northern Nevada
charter HQ.
Sorry! I would be eligible for only a 2 for 1 trip that would cost
me
nearly $400!!
I know that I can contact casinos where I have already been and
take
advantage of the offers I have on harrahs.com and get myself there.
But, I certainly liked the array of offers I was getting. Does
anyone
know if Harrah's is working with similar contractors in my new
area?

I don't know about Harrah's but there are several 3 day packages a
year from Austin/San Antonio to Wendover, Nevada on Millionaire
Express. They run about $200 and are not based on double occupancy.
They actually run these packages out of about 60 cities around the
Northwest, Midwest, and Texas. The closer to Wendover you are the
cheaper the package is.
I know one poker player out of San Antonio who makes 6 trips a
year.
The three casinos involved are Peppermill/Reno properties. They are
named Montego Bay, Peppermill, and Rainbow. These properties have
the same "neon glitz" theme as the Peppermill/Reno. They are
extremely organozed and you won't find any down time once you get to
Wendover. You will be handed your slot card and room key
immediately. Your luggage will be delivered to your room. And,
Voila! You are in action just a few minutes after your arrival.
I could go on and on about how user friendly their slot card is, but
I don't have time right now. I have to get out and do something
productive today. But I can tell you this much: I don't pay for
anything in Wendover. Not the flights in, the rooms, meals,
concerts. I don't even have to pay for my drinks if I'm just sitting
in one of the Cabarets catching a lounge act. I don't even pay for
haircuts. And I stay for weeks, even months at the time. Wendover
is my RFB 365 town. I could do it in perpetuity if I wanted too.
Perhaps, when I get back this evening, I'll run down the details of
the slot card. But here is one hint: Bone up on NSUD if you want to
go to Wendover. There is no secret location. It's in practically
every video poker machine on the Peppermill properties.
