Jokers Wild 2

Here is the basic strategy for the 99.92% 2-pair Jokers Wild from
VP Strategy Master compliments of TomSki. Variance is 31.3. -

You can also create strategies on the Wizard of Odds website -

You are correct that a 25c 5-coin royal on this game pays 5000 coins
which is $1250.

I see that the Barona Casino near San Diego has Jokers Wild 2, with a
99.92% payback...

However, I have not been able to find any information on the strategy
for playing this game. Can anyone help? Also, what is the variance on
the game?

Here is the game's description in VPFREE2: 99.92% JW2
1-2-5-6-10-20-50-50-100-1000 JW2 (FP)

Since the payout for the Royal is given as 1000 instead of 800 as in
all the other games, does that mean that the Royal is $1250? As in,
IRS 1200+ ?

Thanks!

Of course, if a Royal in JW2 incurs a tax liability, then the game’s actual expected value is less than other games on the machine.

Yup, now you’re getting on track, the game’s actual expected value is also less because it’s highly unlikely that you won’t make play mistakes on this game in an actual casino environment, or you’ll lose too much time always checking your plays with your smartphone.

Yep, I’m thinking it’s better to play some other game, not JW2.

I like 9/6 Bonus Deluxe. Easy to play, and pays out 99.64%.

Not so… even if you aren’t given a 1099-G, winnings are still
taxable.
