Does anyone have any idea on the return of this game? It is short pay on the
quads but adds a bonus hand of a dealt joker royal for 800 coins. Here is
the paytable.
Royal 4000
Dealt Joker Royal 800
5 of a Kind 1000
Royal w/joker 500
Straight Flush 250
4 of a Kind 75
Full House 35
Flush 25
Straight 15
3 of a Kind 10
2 Pair 5
Pair Kings 5
TIA for any info.

I'll take a shot at it, although this might not be _exact_ but it should be pretty much right in the ballpark.
First, the strategy of your play is very simple; just go to WinPoker and change the quads from 100 to 75 and ignore the Dealt Joker Royal value because it isn't going to change any of your strategy anyway. I mean, if you're DEALT a Joker Royal, you're not going to throw it away, and WinPoker just figures it into its frequency of hands for all of it Joker Royals that are paid 500. If you're NOT dealt a Joker Royal, then the extra 300 betting units becomes irrelevant. Now, from the WinPoker analysis details for that revised paytable, we see the following relevant lines:
JOKER WILD - KINGS OR BETTER
Hand Name Payout Frequency
ROYAL WITH JOKER 500 300.57254
4 OF A KIND 75 24390.800
Total Return 96.3848%
Variance 25.37205
Now, we know that there are 20 ways to make a Royal with a Joker out of all of the 2,869,685 hands that can be dealt, so you can expect to receive an EXTRA 300 betting units x 20 times = 6,000 B.U. of addition ER for each for 14,348,425 B.U.s bet (2,869,685 hands x 5 full-coin).
Divide the additional return by the total money bet and multiply by 100 to convert to a percentage, and that is the additional ER that you should add to the ER indicated by WinPoker.
6,000/14,348,425 x 100 = 0.0041816436298757529136473166915533% = .0042%
WinPoker shows 96.3848% ... so + .0042% [above] = 96.3890% ... or at least that's what I get unless I've missed something. Too low to bother with calculating the variance.
Cheers.
