This is really sad. I come to Vegas about once a month and always
make it a point to play these machines. They were fun and somtimes
picked up a couple of bucks.
There was a similar setup at the Stardust. Only the machines were
three-play nickels. There was Jokers and several other full pay
games available. One early morning I was playing at these machines
and some suits came by with clipboards. Asked me to step back for a
minute while they opened the machines. Looking over their shoulders
I could see they were checking a screen which had hold percentages.
The casino was getting a 4% hold, and this was the same on the
several machines that I could peek in on. Within the next couple of
days the pay tables were downgraded. I guess 4% just isn't good
enough.
