Joker Poker at M.S.

Hi,
Does anyone happen to know what the EV and paytable is for 25 cent Joker Poker at
Mohegan Sun? Or Double Joker Poker?

I realize they are not full pay. And I realize I can play full pay Double Joker at Foxwoods, at
least for now. In fact, I won $1,000 with a Royal Flush last week at Foxwoods on Double
Joker. But it also took me about a week for my lungs to recover from the smoke and bad
air. And the machines are old and falling apart. (I had to wait almost an hour after I tried
to cash out because the machine was not able to print out my ticket.) Not to mention, the
smell of "Subway" onions and peppers gets pretty "old" after about 30 minutes.

I hate playing Pick 'Em and always lose money when I play that game so no more Pick 'Em
for me. I can't afford the $1 Jacks or Better at Mohegan Sun. I read on here that we should
boycott the 8/5 BP which is fine by me because I find the game boring anyway.

My favorite games are Joker Poker and Double Joker Poker. Even though the paytable may
not be the best, at least I could have an enjoyable evening playing in an pleasant
environment with air I can breathe. And compared to the paytables of Hollywood Slots in
Bangor, the only "game in town" in Maine, where I live, it will probably seem pretty good to
me. (Hollywood Slots Joker Poker E.V. is 93.78%.

Thank you!

Best wishes,
Cathy B.

MS has 2 pair joker poker with a paytable of 1-2-5-7-8-20-050-050-100-
1000 that returns 99.07%. They are located in most of the old
gamemakers (I know they are in the one's in the old poker room). The
new gamemaker that have the 8/5 Bonus also have a Kings or better
that pays 1-1-2-3-5-07-17-050-100-200-940 ... 98.44%. The gamekings
have the same joker that pays 15 for the quads (96.38%) and also
the "Atlantic City" 2 pair Jokers that pays 4000 for a 5 of a kind
(around 97%). Good luck, -Russ

Both the Joker Poker and Double Joker Poker at the Sun are suppose to
be low EV games. However, between the two, I would try the 2-pair
Joker Poker quarter slant-tops in the old poker room, since these
used to be the dollar machines that Bill Kennedy etc. found an actual
return of well over 99%, much higher than the 97.19% (93.55% for
short-coin) theoretical. If there is any malfunctioning going on, I
would highly doubt that it would be translated into any of the new
machines. What's interesting to note: at Foxwoods, their multi-games
have joker poker pulled from the $1 denomination (but left on the 25-
cent and 50-cent); so maybe there has been something strange go on.
If you win big and and let us know, you may do our whole group a
service, and loll in the Sun's best kept secret. Of course, there
might have been a problem that's long since been corrected, (although
the $1 uprights in Sky recently still showed a >99% for that game),
and you might just tank faster. I would guess you would call this
gambling.

Whatever you do, make sure you get the correct strategy chart,
because there is no "one size fits all" for JW.
