John Ascuaga's Nugget comp rate

In case someone is wondering, the comp rate at J.A. Nugget is 6 cents
per $10 coin-in. This was on $1 VP. Not sure if rate is less on 25c
and 50c.

The slot machine comp rate is about 10 cents per $10 coin-in.

There is no cash back, but comp dollars that you can spend anywhere on
the property. They do have maximums per expense though, so you can't
just invite 10 of your friends and pay for all of them at the buffet.
The maximum is geared towards party of 2 for food. Steakhouse limit
is only $40 which sucks.

The comp $ limit is for the unwashed masses. There are a lot of low rollers that play at the Nugget. We've gone to VIP when we wanted to use more comps for a larger party at one of the restaurants like the steak house or Orozko.

Comp $ at the Nugget can only be used for 1/2 the bill at the gift shop and spa, the rest has to be paid via some other mechanism. Comp $ can be used to pay 100% of the room fee or food. The Nugget periodically sends out gift cards to some of its players, and the gift cards can be used to pay for spa or gift shop items. The trick with the gift card when purchasing items is to pay for 1/2 of the bill with your comp $, and then use the gift card for the rest.
