JoB vs Bonus Poker

In both games you hold both the Ace and an unsuited (or suited!) high card,
never just one of them.

Most of the strategy differences are SF3i vs. one or two unsuited high
cards. With the Flush worth less at BP, the high cards are sometimes more valuable
than the SF3i. At 9/6 JOB, the SF3i is ALWAYS better than a high card, or
two unsuited high cards.

For example, at 9/6 JOB, 3s4s6sQdJc, hold 346 (better by about 12c when
playing dollars). Same hand at 8/5 BP, hold QJ (better by about 7c when playing
dollars).

There are many such examples, but all of them put together add up to less
than .01% (actually about .003%) in total ER. In other words, playing perfect
9/6 JOB strategy at 8/5 BP costs about 12c per hour in ER at single line
dollars at 800 hands/hour. Not enough for MOST players to be concerned with.

It appears the differences are minimal, so I feel better since I have been playing
BP like JoB. It seems many LV multi play machines have 8/5 BP and I have been
playing it alot. Strangly enough, I was playing DDB 5 play $ at GVR (yes I know
the paytable sucks), was going down the tubes, switched to 8/5 BP, started rebuilding
some credits and then....DEALT 4 ACES AND a 2, AS HOMER SIMPSON WOULD SAY, "TOWWW". received $2,000 so I wasnt complaining. Of course a guy playing next to me
started in on "oh your playing BP, why would you do that?"
Oh well, maybe next time.
