I'll take a swing at this one. First of all, I would agree that
learning the FPDW game would be your best move. But, to compare 8/5
JoB to the 9/6 version, consider this:
I'm just going to use rounded numbers. it will explain it clearly
enough. Assuming you are playing for quarters full-coin, with
correct strategy, and will be cruising along at a rather reasonable
700 hands per hour (reasonable for most folks that peruse this
site).
Mathematical probability says that you will average about 8 hands per
hour that will either be a flush or full house. On the 8/5 version,
you will lose $1.25 for each of these. $1.25 times 8 is $10 per hour
in lost credits. If you're playing dollars, just multiply everything
by 4.
Now you can figure out whether it's worth the extra effort to find
the 9/6's.

Happy Holidays to all.........
Trying to think this thru. I have a comp for 3 nights Lodging,
$30.00 in meal credit and $50.00 in coin all for use at Harrah's
AK-
Chin casino here in the Phoenix area.....actually 46 miles from the
house one way. Problem is all the .25JoB games at Harrah's are at
least .25 and only a couple...the bulk are $1.00.
I could drive to Laughlin, NV 196 miles each way and stay for 2
nights free at Harrahs. While there are no .25 9/6 JoB games at
Harrahs they are available at many of the other casinos.
Now my question is rather or not the roughly 2% difference in pay
out
(If I have figured it right) between the 9/6 and 8.5 games
justifies
