Just wondering. Does anyone ever accumulate this many points playing VP before using them? It would take a long time (172 hrs @ 700 hph) even on a $5 machine.

Multiple point days. Stations and Fiesta have them all the time.

I've seen people at the FPDW progressives at the Palms with point totals
upwards of 2.5 million ... which comes out to approximately 2800 hours of
play at 700/hour.

I, on the other hand, usually amass about $10 worth of comps before using
them. I'm such a whale.

The article addresses what to do with points. I think Bob Dancer
actually sold his back to management at one casino on a privately
arranged deal. A recent Nevada Gaming ruling on comps I believe led
the folks at Nevada Landing/Gold Strike to zero out everyones comp
dollars and turn them into points, which now expire in 90 days...so
once again the logic of using comps and benefits or risk losing them
comes into play as Jean Scott has advocated in the past. I myself
didnt play at one casino club card in a 6 months and my points and
benefits reset to zero...

If I were a bet'n man I'd bet Stations/Fiesta is where the points were
earned. Most folks like to hit the 5x multipliers. It takes $25K coin-
in a month to achieve a reasonable BB. So, 25K*5 = $125K/month per
person at full point machines. In just one year you would have 12*250K
= 3 million points.

Really? I don't recall that. What casino are you talking about? I do
sell points to the Palms at times, but that's a deal available to anyone
who plays in their High Limit room.

I have, or have had, many more than 3 million points at several casinos.
The calculations earlier in this thread make the assumption of single
points. Many casinos have regular point multipliers. I play at Station
and used to play at Fiesta at the Chairman level, which requires 250,000
base points a month to maintain. Since I almost always play on 5x days,
that's 1,250,000 points a month. It's no trick at all to have a balance
of over 3,000,000 points at that rate of accrual.

thanks Bob for clearing up my loosly worded statement, I just
remembered a statement from an article by you about selling back
points and now I remember it was the Palms...and now upon reflection
it might have even been in an article about multipoint days, a real
key in mastering CB and comps, it was a good article, maybe in NEON?

Our local Harrah's has, most months, special Mondays .. as in all are a
minimum of 4X points, and the more Mondays you play in the month, the
higher the multiplier up to 10X

The points add up much faster than most people use points ... though
Harrah's has a special catalog of things that take well over a million
points. (they severely limit how much and how often you can get dollars
for points.)

There is a nice cruise for 500,000 points ... worth keeping the points
for a while.
