Jean Scott's post I feel so much better

I read that the shuffling stops once the coins are dropped into the machine
or once the deal button is initially pushed for a particular hand. At that
point the cards you draw are already lined up in the machine. No amount of
praying should make any difference after you press the initial deal
button.

Actually finding out there is a RNG routine constantly "shuffling" the
cards until the moment I hit the draw key introduced an entirely new level of
uncertainty frustration for me. Should I hit the draw key as fast as
possible after I choose my keeper cards? Or should I say a small prayer and
then hit the draw key? And what about those four to the royal or three aces
draws? If I had hit the draw key a few seconds earlier or a few seconds
later, might I have actually filled out those special hands?

This video poker is hard stuff...

You must have read that article many years ago because it is no longer correct.

What you read was wrong. There may have been a time many years ago when they worked this way but not today.
