What I don’t understand is why there has been no real discussion on the reset back to zero when a card is pulled or a game changed. It means that virtually anyone using any slot machine will lose between $0.01-$4.99 toward a tier point every time they pull their card or change the game. The calculated amount you have to put into slots to get to sapphire is meaningless. If you happen to be a low roller like me who likes to play a little here and a little there you may never get there no matter what you put in.

You have defined the problem well. I think we all agree that their new system sucks. Aside from the obvious advice to those that still play at Boyd properties to switch machines less often than they used to, what is there to discuss ?

And it’s a mystery as to the countdown
I have been In Casinos in other areas of the country which shows a count down on the screen - then you know when a point has been established
But now no clue.
