Jean, dearest, you teach the masses to play better all these years, the masses now know how to play thanks to you and Dancer, Dancer hits a Jumbo playing his wife's card (a big no-no), and then writes about it, and IIRC, explains how to hit one (could be wrong about that one), and then you have the nerve to complain when the giant finally awakes and figures out what's up. Sorry, love, I can't take that one seriously at all.

I don't know...at some point in time if I were the house, I'd be tired of the same 100 players or so beating me year after year after year. Actually, I'm a little surprised it hasn't happened earlier. Of course, if it weren't for the colossal egos of the writers, this party could have lasted a few years more.

What really bothers me is now there's this trend where backing off players is a function of a slot operations suit's continued employment. Back off a few alleged pros, no matter how much they doth protesteth too much their "recreational player" status, get a pat on the back from the boss and not worry about getting laid off. It's happening everywhere.

This year, I survived a really nasty losing streak (actually it couldn't have come at a better time to have one, when people were getting tossed left and right for merely winning), and it looks like it's going to be an ok year. Not great not like last year, but certainly acceptable. In spite of all of this. As for 2010...not so certain. But at the end of the day, it's usually the mass dissemination of information which causes the downgrades and backing offs to happen. And who is responsible for that mass dissemination of information thingy?
