Apparently the author also has a book out on Video
Poker. Has anybody invested time and money on reading
what is no doubt an entertaining book.

I got a big kick out of reading Royer's schtick in accessvegas.com,
but I won't be investing any money in his books. You are just not
going to learn how to do anything right from this guy other than how
to hustle the public.

Neophytes are his target market and it's a good move on his part.
There are millions and millions of unenlightened gamblers/potential
gamblers. Percentagewise, there are not that many sharp gamblers.

So if you want to sell gambling books, what should be your target
market? Royer likely cannot compete on the knowledge level with the
best authors in gambling--Sklansky, Malmuth, Ciaffone, Dancer,
Paymar, etc., etc. So he goes after the masses of dummies out there.
The guy probably sells alot of books too.

I read Royers book back in December 2004, and discussed it on VPfree
at that time. The book is full of errors, misleading information, and
oddball opinions. One opinion, as I recall, is that the RNG is
flawed, causing Aces to occur more frequently than they should.

I did a search for my review of Royer's book, and was amazed how easy
it is to find old posts, even after 4 years. If interested, see post
#25444 dated 1/19/2004.
