I was very disappointed to read Jean's column today.
The reason for my disappointment was that I penned a column about the
same subject last night after standing around for one hour at the Palms
drawing and swearing "never again on this promotion." That was Jean's
conclusion as well as mine. While I did make different points along the
way, the articles are similar enough that I decided mine should be
relegated to the scrap heap as hers "scooped" mine.
To add insult to injury, I wasn't one of the $1,000 winners.
As I said, I was very disappointed.

After the third or fourth time I said basically "never again", I
decided to actually heed my own advice. Obviously, I preferred the
good old days when the Palms didn't cap how many tickets one can earn.
Now I play about every 60 days on a 3x day or similar to keep the mail
going and use the points for clubbing.

might as well take this to its logical conclusion and get it over

i wasn't one of the winners, didn't write a column about it, heck i
