"Jacks 9/6" with 10% rebate???

_http://www.sbgglobal.com/_ (http://www.sbgglobal.com/) offers 10% casino
rebate and they say on video poker too. They even explain Jacks a little.
Sounds way too good to be true. I received an unsolicited snail mail ad. Any
comments?

Yes, it IS too good to be true. SBGglobal has been a marginal
sportsbook for several years, but appears to have taken a turn for
the worse in the past year. The most reliable source of info on
sportsbooks is Sportsbookreview.com, and you can read some horror
stories on SBGglobal there. See for example,
http://www.sportsbookreview.com/NewsWire/3105/BigJuicyOdds+SBR+rating
+D+credits+players+scammed+by+SBGglobal+SBR+rating+D+and+BetRoyal+SBR
+rating+D+.aspx

I would not trust them with my money. Even if the game is random,
there is a good chance they will find a reason to not pay you.

The SportsBookReview link in my previous post seems to take you to
the main page, not the info on SBGglobal.

The best way to look up a sportsbook at SportsbookReview.com is to
find it in the "Ratings Guide" (one of the menu options on the main
page) and then click on the sportsbook's name in the left column of
the Guide. If you do this for SBGglobal, you will find enough info
to scare any reasonable person away.

I would take the ratings information posted on SBR with a grain of
salt. They've been accused many times of falsely pumping up the grades
of operators who advertise heavily on their site. There were also
reports that they attempted to extort other operators by lowering their
grades if they did not pay up.

People will always disagree with gradations of rating. That's not to
say they could never be influenced by advertising revenue. Can you
point me to the extortion reports?

Overall, I have found SBR's ratings to be an excellent source of info.

SBR is also a powerful advocate in player disputes. I had a dispute
with Gameday that SBR was very helpful in resolving.

I bet serious money with online books and have always found SBR to be
a reliable source of info on books. Furthermore every time I've had
a problem getting paid SBR has intervened and successfully gotten my
money out. They're solid in my book.
