Jackpot with Different Players Card

If they suspect that you are up to something, and want to prove it, no
problem. The slot system can tell them the time the card was inserted, then
surveillance tapes of that time will show if it was you who inserted the card.

Would there be any ramifications if I hit a jackpot requiring a
hand play on a machine with the wrong card? Since they always want
positive photo ID anyway,

I do not see how they can deny you a jackpot. What if you sat down to

a machine where someone else left their card in and being soft, you
think it is yours. You hit a jackpot, you are playing the machine, not
some guy you left an hour ago.

No problem with spouse's card in has been my experience. I've hit
several taxables while putting the monthly play on my wife's card. If
you don't tell the slot attendant, you may get a W2-g with your wife's
info on it even if you give them your ID. That's happened to me twice
and then I have to have them void that one and make one out to me. I
always tell the attendant that I was on my wife's card but make the
W2-g out to me.

During conversations with my host and even the casino manager at one
point, they both advise playing on one card. I don't as we both want
to keep our levels up. When I hit my goal for the month on one card, I
switch to another. My host has also suggested that I have my friends
play on my card when I've gotten them a room. I used to do that but no
more. Many times, a friend will hit a taxable while playing on my card
and although they get the W2-g, the jackpot shows up on my win/loss
statement making my gambling log grow further from what the casino
shows on the win/loss at the end of the year.

I have to agree with Stan. I have hit many taxables with my wife's
card in the machine...never had a problem.
