Yesterday, after work, I decided to head up to Red Rock to get my cheesy
free gift of the day: a set of drill bits and electric screwdriver heads (or
as it says on the box, ³An all-in-one handy tool box with all the drilling
and screwing items you need).
Anyway, while I was there, I had to use my free slot play, plus about $40.
After a bit of play and hitting a few quads on 3 and 5 play BP and DB
machines, I was up a couple hundred dollars in no time. At that point, I
decided to switch machines to get away from a smoke stack. Maybe ten hits
of the deal/draw button later, I hit 4 Aces for 4000 credits. Wait a
minute...4000 credits? I thought I was playing Triple Play, Double Bonus
Poker!?!? Nope...I must pressed the Triple Play, TRIPLE Double Bonus Poker
button by mistake, with my brain not realising that the ³Triple² I saw was
the "Triple" in "Triple Double Bonus Poker", and not the "Triple" in "Triple
Play." For once, I made a mistake playing Video Poker that made me
significantly more money!!
A little while after that, I hit a royal in one hand of a 5-Play machine
(holding 3 cards), played a little more, and then decided to call it quits
when I was about $1600 richer than when I walked in.
Well, that would've been enough for the day to make me pretty happy, but
later that night with the wife out with her girlfriends, I decided to go
check out Arizona Charlie's Decatur for the first time...just for kicks. I
put one of the $100 bills I won earlier that day into the 3/5-Play machines,
hit a few quads, and ANOTHER Royal!
It was about the day that my limited bankroll video poker play has ever
seen...the second best being a span of 6 days when I hit 4 Deuces and a
Natural Royal at the 50 cent level at Red Rock.
I've sent my photos of all of the above to vpFae for the photo page.
Cheers,
