Jackpot, NV

The other nicer casino is Cactus Pete/Ameristar
owned. It is much larger, nicer rooms and
good restaurant BUT the best play was
$2 and up 9/6 JOB. I did not check every
machine but random checks on lesser
denomination machine was 8/5 JOB or
worse.

Speaking of 9/6 JOB in northern Nevada, I stumbled across a triple play .05
multigame machine with 9/6 JOB at the Commercial Casino in Elko. As JOB
goes, it's easily the best play in town that I've seen (a few 8/5 and lots of 7/5
and 6/5 in various denominations) but the machine gets NO play because the
bill acceptor has been broken for the better part of the last year. I've
tried to give it some play but I got tired of poking in all those nickels.

We first met George Gilmore at the Reserve. He was one of the best hosts we
ever had. We felt terrible when he went to an Ameristar casino in the
midwest. We always hoped he would come back to Las Vegas someday...maybe he
will !! Actually I thought he might be retired by now... Annie

Ditto on George, I really liked having him as a host.
