On a recent trip I discovered accrual of Johns Club Dollars was at 0.5%
of coin in, a reduction from 0.7% on my last trip. I was mostly
playing the deluxe deuces.
JA Nugget Club Dollars
The Club Dollars were reduced on table games as well. Club Dollars
used to be based your average bet over 4 hours of play (or 25% of
your average hourly bet) and they now appear to be approximately the
average bet over 6 hours of play (approx 18% of your hourly average
bet).
Also, different video games and slots seem to give different levels
of Club Dollar kick-backs. I have no evidence, but I suspect that
the Club Dollar return is now based upon the EV of the particular
machine - similar to many of the other casinos.

I will be at JA Nugget this weekend and will investigate this further.
Sounds like they are feeling the pinch of the slow economy (fewer
conventions booked) or they have underestimated the attraction of
their comp level to gamblers and feel that less is more.

I can confirm the change on VP to .5%, or 50 cents per $100 coin in.
I played the Sigma Deuce Deluxe (100.35%) and the NSUD on the IGT
machines, and both gave me 50 cents per Benji.
The hosts and boothlings are either ignorant of the change, or told to
keep mum on this. They all denied any change to the rate, or
knowledge of it.
I dont play reel slots, so I cannot comment on the rate there. It
used to be 1%, or a dollar per benji.
At least they still have full pay VP though...
Also, I was there this weekend, and they offered 2x points on Table
Games...
