They can bar you if you’ve committed a crime in the casino, they are trying to charge Ivey with cheating for “edge sorting”.
I thought it was interesting that he said he started casino gambling in high school when he was 15 or 16 using a fake ID at Atlantic City and money from his McDonalds job as a bankroll.
How I would rule if I were the judge might depend on how surreptitious he was about asking the dealer to turn the cards around. If that was why he wanted the dealer to speak Mandarin, he lied to the interviewer and the casinos, but I find it hard to believe that that could be done without being detected.

I’ve never been to Atlantic City casinos or Mississippi casinos but I have heard through the grapevine that credit hustlers, when caught, can only be barred from an Atlantic City casino for 24 hours…and in Mississippi abandoned credits on a machine belong to the public, not the casino.
The stated rules for the YAH promotion at the downtown Boyd properties (http://static.boydgaming.net/boydgaming/media/downloads/2017%20YAH%20LVL%20Rules.pdf):
… is valid at the following three (3) participating properties: Main Street
Station, California and Fremont every Wednesday beginning March 1, 2017 through
December 27, 2017. Participants at the California, Main Street Station and
Fremont must be local residents with an 890 or 891 zip code address.
···
However, there some to be some reports that the Fremont doesn’t have this
non-local exclusion. Has any non-local done the YAH there since March
1???

Right – I gave the link for the “uptown” properties. However, I did give
the right information which I got from the right link. Hey, it’s late – or
more accurately – early in the morning – I guess a 50% accuracy rate is not
all bad – just half bad!!!
Hope someone with an out-of-town address can give me personal experience at
the Fremont!!!

I was at the Fremont in Feb/ and they gave the non-locals the YAH promotion, however the rules indicated that. As you showed us the new rules eliminate the promotion for non locals! I used your link to read them. Thank you for the info.

And the corrected link provided (https://static.boydgaming.net/boydgaming/media/downloads/2017%20YAH%20DTR%20Rules.1.pdf) says that the local restriction applies at the California and Main Street… does not mention the Fremont.
I wonder if they recently revised and corrected it?

Pardon the Interruption, but the same types of frequent changes have occurred regarding the multipliers (now known as local multipliers) at the outlying (non-Downtown) properties. On March 1st (Black Wednesday, maybe) the multipliers, like YAH, went all-local. A week later, SunCoast and Sam’s Town reconsidered (probably due to a lot of complaints) and made multipliers available to all again. HOWEVER, Gold Coast and Orleans still restrict the multipliers to locals only. If they’re reading this–I’m TICKED–the multiplier days usually made it worth the drive–forget the other YAH benefits (in that one could only eat so many “free” buffets–I’ve qualified for 12 in a day at the 4 properties–“only” could eat 2)–I liked the multipliers, and they should be available, at their properties. Was planning on flying down Tuesday–scratched that trip and future ones until Boyd reconsiders. Don’t know if this puts me in the tourist minority or not, but there it is.
**I’m not sure what you mean here. **Anyone **now can get multipliers on YAH days (except it
is locals only at Main Street Station and the California). **
Are you talking about other multiplier days that come in your local
mailer, for special days? If this is what you are talking about, are you
saying Sam’s Town and Suncoast has other multiplier days that are now open to
everyone, but the Orleans and Gold Coast have not???

Yes, Jean, you’ve got it perfectly right–the non-YAH, non-Downtown property multipliers went all locals only on March 1st, then changed back on March 8th at SunCoast and Sam’s Town. However, Gold Coast and Orleans are still locals only, as disclosed on the BConnected site…
PARTICIPATING CASINOS:
- The Orleans Hotel & Casino
- Gold Coast Hotel & Casino
- California Hotel Casino
- Fremont Hotel & Casino
- Main Street Station Casino Brewery Hotel
Mondays, March 6, 13, 20 and 27, 2017
The Orleans, Suncoast, California, Fremont and Main Street Station
- 11x Points Reels
- 6x Points Video Poker
Tuesdays, March 7, 14, 21 and 28, 2017
Gold Coast, California, Fremont and Main Street Station - 11x Points Reels
- 6x Points Video Poker
the re-revised rules are here…
Again, they’ve changed this three times in three weeks, and I have too much time on my hands, I wonder how the casual player will keep up with them all.
As you’ve said before here and on your blog, the properties have the right to change things, but we also have the right not to go anymore (and I was close to being Emerald there last year, which is tough for a tourist playing VP there–won’t have to worry about that anymore)
