It just seems strange

Memorial Day- This is a time when we pay homage to the soldiers that
lost their lives on the battlefield fighting for our country. Should
be a somber time. Right?

The new owners of the Tahoe Biltmore are putting on their first
promotion. "You and a guest are invited to join us Memorial Day
weekend May 24th and May 25th as we honor our fallen patriots The
Tahoe Biltmore is ready to welcome you as we remember the men and
women who have served our country and protected our freedom."

So how are they planning on honoring the fallen soldiers? First they
are having a dinner with a military speaker, and then, "after dinner
join us for champagne and cake on the casino floor".

On Saturday they plan some outdoor activities in the parking lot that
include: face paining, pony rides, clowns, crafts, a Bounce House and
a few others.

Then at 3 PM, they plan to have a patriotic themed dog parade.

I don't know, but some of these things seem to be in poor taste----
or perhaps I am just a party pooper. ?? In fact going to a casino to
honor those soldiers does not right to me, but not to the new owners.
