This is essentially the way I interpreted it. Why would an advantage player
believe this? Why would a player not have the exact same chance of achieving
a game's ER as any machine given the same amount of hands?
I also didn't read anything about his implying that human emotions, etc.

I did not write anything about human emotions controlling a machine. I
speculated, maybe a bit whimsically, about the reasons people might see a quality
in a vp machine that they wouldn't in another inanimate object. I hope if you
reread the post that you will see that I did not attribute the speculation to
anyone but myself.
