Isle and Ameristar

Went up the hill St Pats weekend. Stayed Saturday night at the Isle. Both Isle and Ameristar were packed.

Inventory at the Isle is the same as previously. All the machines are still concentrated toward the south end of the casino. Only spot checked a few machines and games, but it looked like all the games in the listing are still there.

Ameristar has been decimated. Nothing playable at quarters. There is 9/6 JOB and NSUD for dollars in the middle bank of machines behind the blackjack pit. Checked around pretty thoroughly, and nothing good at quarters. Guess they need the money for that new hotel.

We've found them pretty limited also. Their bounceback and cashback tends to be on the lean side also, although reasonable when they have their 3X/4X/5X points promotion going on.

It's worth noting that the triple play STP JorB can be played with or without the 6th coin STP bonus, with 1, 2 or 3 hands, without giving up the good 9/6 JorB pay table. At least that gives them 8 machines that can be played as single play quarter JorB. Of course these machines seem to always be occupied. Triple play quarter JorB's on south side of circle bar are standard triple plays, that don't give you this option.
