JOB 9-6 return 99.54%

$1.25 per hand 600 hands per hour = $750.00 coin in
Im playing quarter machine run a bit cold and hit no royal,no sf, no
4k, and only 1/2 full houses, every other pay is on par in the hour
of play.

royal=1.98%
sf =.55
4ofK =5.90
1/2 fullhouse =10.36/2=5.18

-1.98 -.55 -5.90 -5.18 added =13.61%

99.54 - 13.61 = 85.93%

coin in $750 x 85.93 = coin out $644 or a hour loss $106 ?

thanks,
TD

Your figures are absolutely correct. Welcome to our world. Many players
don't realize how bad it can get. My bud, 5-Card, has already done the
figures for losses on a few games on his site at:
http://videopokerhelp.net/index.html . Just click on the cost per hour
link for some real eye openers. Sooner rather than later, most players will
understand that this type of scenario is just normal, and not an out of the
ordinary occurrence. As an example, yesterday in one of the four casino's
that the wife and I played in, I did a session on a game that I play in
dollars that is considerably closer to break even than jacks, but with
bounce and cash back, it is well over 100% return. In my 1.25 hours of play,
with $4,370 coin in, and a twin sister to the type of hand results that you
had, no RF, SF, or quads,I was down $1,010, for a return of 76.88%. Where
the hell is Lucky Larry's Lobstermania when you need it? Fortunately, our
plugging away at the three other casinos was somewhat more profitable. At
the end of the day we were collectively only down $160 for actual game play.
However, we do make cashback at all four casinos, and at our last stop of
the day, a pleasant finish. We both has a 100 coin bonus coupon for our
first quad, playing $ 8-5 BP. Had mine in seven minutes and switched to
5-play quarters. She had hers 15 minutes later and joined me. Together we
totaled $12,040 c.i. in our 2.25 hours of play and should have been down
slightly over $100 on our play, but I was ahead $270 and she up $150, for a
$420 profit. We then exchanged 10,800 of our 12,040 points for 12 $10
Wal-Mart gift cards. And so it goes. Just another day in video poker
paradise. If you are looking for consistency, guess what. You're still
looking. Video poker is everything but that. Now, before one of the
mathmaniacs responds to tell you that your return will be within .001735926%
of mathematical expectation after 63.079236 years of play, I will go ahead
and concede that this may probably be true, and I don't really care and
neither should you. You know the old saying about waking up and smelling the
coffee, right? It only figures that if you don't enjoy that smell or at
least get used to it, chances are good that the smell can make you ill.
