Is there any benefit at all for putting in your card in the 100% VP at Hard Rock

I think the answer is, it depends.
In November, I gave significant play to a decent non-strip Las Vegas
hotel casino that had a few 100%+ paytable machines. A message on
these machines indicated no comps or cash-back.
I put my Players Card in anyway. Assuming at least they might note
my hours of play, my cash in, and perhaps also my results.
Although I played on these 100% machines with extremely proficient
play, I ended up losing there. About two months later I got a mailer
with steeply discounted offers to stay there (with some nights free)
along with some Free Slot Play coupons and Free Food vouchers good
for the first part of 2007.
I'm not sure if I would have gotten these had I won (but I surely
wouldn't have gotten them if I hadn't put my card in the machines).
I'm sure there may be some downside to this given a different set of
circumstances. But for me, the results of putting in my card were
exactly what I was hoping for. Had I won (like I planned to
and
not gotten this discretionary offer (although I might still have
gotten it anway?), I would be no worse off than if I hadn't put my
card in at all.
I don't play for comps and since I'm just a once or twice a year
visitor also I don't play for CB or BB or even freeplay, I play to
win money in real time directly from the machine, so I don't play
any negative paying machines there or anywhere in Vegas. But if I
did, that might be a case where if the casino sees you are straying
from the negative machines that you usually play, it may hurt the
quality of the discretioary offers you might have otherwise
received.
Still, I think the upside potential of the rewards of putting in
your card, significantly outweighs downside risks in most cases.

Thanks for the response. Looks like part of my header got cut off. I
was specifically asking about the Hard Rock if any else cares to
respond.

FYI, coincidentally, that WAS the specific hotel/casino to which I was
referring in my original reply.
