Is There a KC Casino Magazine?

This is my first post. I am new to the area and was wondering if there
is a magazine that lists the casino promotions, buffets and general
info. I have looked at the several casinos that I have visited and not
found anything. The billboards seem the way they are communicating. IE
Ameristar has 3x 4x 5x points on m-w in Aug. Amy pointers?

Welcome to KC. I am not aware of any magazines just for KC casinos.
Midwest Gaming covers the area -- you can get some of the articles on
line at their web site.

Once you sign up for a slot card and play a little, you will start
getting mailers from the casinos. They will lay out the promotions --
what few there are. You can also check their web sites. The bottom
line there are just not much in promotions going on right now. I
expect that will change when a casino opens on the Kansas side of the
border.

If you are on the bus route for Prairie Band ( located north of
Topeka) they will give you $10 for riding (no charge for the bus) and
they have coupons you can print. Again check the web site.

Thank you for your help and info. I played VP when it first came out
but moved to an area with no gaming. This site and the LV one have
been helpful and intersting to read. I am a new AP (or trying anyway).

I did not know there was a new casino going up on the KS side. Is it
Indian? When will it open? I am only here workng for 3 months.

If you are only here for three months you will miss the Kansas casino.
The casino will be owned by the state but built and managed by a
private gaming company. The company or site has not yet been
selected. One proposal has a temporary casino up and running in 10
months to be followed by a megaresort. But too late to do you any good.

BTW, what is a "new AP"?

TOPEKA, Kan. – The Lottery Gaming Facility Review Board Friday decided
a casino will be coming to Kansas Speedway.

Kansas Entertainment, the company heading up the charge for the casino
at the Speedway won the bid for the management contract for the
state-owned casino. The proposed plan included a Hard Rock Café and
the Speedway said it will add a second NASCAR race if the contract was
given.
