Yep! That's how it works. Bob denies that he did it. Plausible
deniability, don't you know.Shortpaydan's story was interesting to me because everyone knows Bob
had extensive dealings with River Palms long before multi-strike came
out.It was the section downstairs known as "??? Corral." There was
something like 25 or 30 quarter machines, with a few 50 centers, that
were "Bob Dancer Certified 100%." The whole promotion got press in
Strictly Slots and other gambling rags.It wasn't big enough for pros but was a bargain for low-rollers.
River Palms also had the reputation of making mistakes in their
mailers and when bigger bankrolls came in on them they would get
pitched out. Most of the heat was on the dollar and five dollar
triple-play and five-play 10/7.I can't imagine that they didn't know who Bob was when he was in
playing the multi-strike.

If you are talking about Winners' Wharf that area was downstairs at the River
Palms. The deal was kiosk driven...a first for Laughlin. You swiped to get
a COD ticket for a random quad value. A 125 coin COD is worth .45% over the
range on Jacks. This lasted a very long time...what five years?
A Winners Wharf player could play quarter Jacks, Bonus, DDB, 10/7 DB and 9/5
WHA. Some games were up to a $ when it opened. Not sure what the slot card
was worth before they changed it to .2% cb and .1% comps, but it must have been
a tad stronger.
Winners Wharf promo morphed into a daily drawing for $300 for any quad and a
end of month drawing for 5 x$1k for all the paper tickets. Favored the
quarter players now.
Currently the area got shrunk and there really isn't any promo...just a
gateway.
