IMHO, FPDW became extinct approximately four (4) years ago. Just about the
time the Palms opened for business, the largest elimination of FPDW occurred
within the Coast properties. The units were in to the hundreds counting all the
Coast properties.
Around the same time, even little Boomtown-Silverton which started with 68
units was down to a few. The Horseshoe, Main Street, the Reserve, etc. etc.
continued the systematic elimination of FPDW.
What you've seen since 2001 is just "mop-up" exercises by the remaining
inventory in and around Las Vegas. The party is already over...just time to turn
off the lights!
