The $1 96 are still at the bar tops and actually not a bad option. The
problem is trying to get on them during a busy Friday or Saturday or for
that matter, any busy time. You risk heading to MS with a bankroll, not
getting on the game you want, so you end up playing Wheel of Fortune to kill
time while you wait for the bars to open up at 2 AM.
I went to Mohegan Sat night for the first and last time in a while.
In addition to downgrading their machines, I think they have downgraded VP
players. I haven't received a gas card, gift card or an invite to a slot tourney
in months. In several stores, I noticed other people using gift cards. Has
anyone received any of these? I also didn't receive the Sagamore upgrade to a
suite for the first time.
I checked out the machines in all the bars and high limit areas. Except for
the 9/6 at the bars, the place sucks. Competing with penny players for a bar
top machine also sucks.
It's time to bring in competition. These Indian monopolies are a bunch of
bullshit and it won't be fixed until enough people complain. It's time for CT or
MA to legalize gambling and bring in some for corporations that compete and
are regulated. Enough of these unregulated monopolies that have been legislated
to pay for mistakes that were made 300 years ago.
For my part, I'll be in A/C next week, Gulfport in April and Tahoe in May. I
will minimize my play at MS and Foxwoods to get offers to some of their
concerts and MS can shove their Sagamore club up there ass.
Just my point of view.
