I know in years past that the Plaza offered a promo on income tax
checks. I haven't heard of anyone else doing it this year. Anyone
hear anything about it this year?
IRS Check Rebate Promotions...
The Plaza has discontinued their promotion. I now
cash my SSA checks (Plaza was also not limited to
income tax checks, honored GOVERNMENT checks) at the
El Cortez. I get a $5 match play coupon, $3 free play
(slots only, some call it the Megabucks coupon), a
couple of coupons I forget what they are but most
importantly a coupon entitling you for 3 times points
for one day. You are given a voucher when you cash
your check which is good for 14 days. I cashed one
around 2/28 just before going to Laughlin for 12 days
and used the voucher the day I got back to LAS.
Sam's Club has a promotion, I guessed that usually
one wins a food coupon. I asked at the booth if those
coupons had an expiration date, was told yes, so I
brought my last uncashed SSA home with me last
Monday:-) I will cash it at the EC next trip unless
someone posts a better deal!
