Irritation with Bouceback (Orleans)

Ran in to get my $25 bouceback yesterday at the Orleans. After the access
sequence
I only saw 20 credits ($5) to my machine. I signaled for help. The Orleans
has now "done us a favor" by only giving us our bounceback in $5 increments.

Their reason is we can move to another machine, etc. In order to get my $25
on the initial, first machine, I had to pull my card and re-insert after each
increment and go through the access sequence again. Yes, a total of five
times.

What an irritation!

Well, at least that's one thing the Suncoast hasn't screwed up -- yet. I got my $25 in one piece (even though I promptly lost it!)

I haven't been to the Orleans in some time and haven't got any
recent mailers. Has the Orleans gone to the Instant Credit system
like the Suncoast, or do the Orleans mailers still require you to
cut a coupon and take it to the cashier?

Yes, however you must use a very loose interpretation of the word "instant".
First week, it worked fine after the third machine I went to decided to
accept all four digits of my pin number. The second week, only $5 of my $25
downloaded, so I get a change person who tells me that they changed it to
accommodate the quite vocal and apparently extraordinarily powerful 1c and
5c denom portion of their player base. These mental giants were complaining
to the club that they did not think it was fair for the casino to force them
to take their entire $25 on the same machine. Evidently, the mighty morons
prevailed. You can download only in $5 increments, remove your card, catch
up on your loitering practice while you look at the display that says
"please wait", then re-insert your card, do the sign of the cross and a
silent prayer that the Mattel software and Tonka Toy hardware will actually
take your pin number again, then rinse and repeat five times. After
continuous attempts at this on Monday, what should have taken about three
minutes to download and play off took me slightly over 15 minutes. Had
planned to stop at the club on my way out to bitch slap the manager, but
there were probably about 30 people in the mice maze theatre rope line,
probably trying to find out why they can't access all of their free play. I
think the Guinness commercials sum it up best. Brilliant!

I, too, experienced this last night. What should have taken less than 2
minutes ended up taking over a half hour and multiple trips to the slot
club. I also had to try several machines before finding one to give me the
next $5 increment. Eventually, I was considering ripping out one of the VP
machines and throwing at the next passing employee.

The whole point of bounceback is to get people to come back, not aggravate
the living shit out of them. I cannot understand how someone capable of
this level of stupidity rises to a position from which he can implement it.
Whoever did this should be shot.

Letter with stronget language to follow.

If there are people who WANT to download part of it, they could implement a
system like the Palms or the Tuscany, where you can choose how much.
