Irresponsible Journalists - Maureen O'Connor

This lady from all accounts lost a LOT more than $13million net. And while her comps and "freebies" might make for compelling discussion to quarter, dollar, & five dollar players, to her I'm sure they meant nothing more than free food and rooms in-between getting her frenzied play in at the high limit machines. What's more interesting I think is how many of us have seen this lady as she was digging her big hole.

This story tops the Bill Bennett one in my opinion, because he never lost anything he didn't have. I also don't see why this journalist is being labeled irresponsible. What's the big deal--someone got a billion dollars in W2G's, and she lost millions overall. That's the story, not if the reporter understands the game.

Yup, many of us did see her, Terrance Watanabe, Jon Daly, and so on, throw away millions.

Of that group, she might have been playing the best games.
LOL. Maybe she should get a medal.
Did they get special comps? You bet. And yes, without giving out too many details, you can safely assume they (at least the mayor and terrance anyway) won some special only-for-them "drawings". Imagine that! Ironically, having them win their very own special drawing helped improve the lot for us regular gamblers (as their tickets were removed from the main drawings in the cases I witnessed). I think you get the picture. I guess fixing drawings isn't always as bad as it seems...
