Does anyone have experience with the "dedicated Internet access" that
the Orleans is advertising as a room amenity? I interpret "dedicated
Internet access" to mean that they provide a high-speed Internet hook-
up which you can plug into the network card of your laptop and get on
the Internet without having to dial up an ISP (as you can do at the
Palms for $10/day).
However, when I called the Orleans to ask specific questions about
their "dedicated Internet access," they told me that they have *NO*
high-speed Internet access, and that their advertised "dedicated
Internet access" amenity means you can use WebTV (in the new tower
only) for up to two hours for a nominal charge ($6-$7). I don't
really have any confidence that the reservations people I spoke to
actually knew what they were talking about, so I'm hoping someone
here has some direct experience he or she can relate.
Thanks,
- Greg
