interim pepps trip report- 4/3-4/4/08

so, i get into town thurs eve and pull an almost all-niter.
i am playing the 50c JoB w/3-way progs at the lower cabaret bar about
3:30AM when i hit the RF holding 3 for $2838. nice.

i finally get to see my florence suite on floor 17 of the tuscany
tower about 5AM. amazing. rich wood furniture deep red colr, marble
floor in the bathroom, 2 showerheads, curtains that open
automagically. host sent up bottle of champagne for my birthday (last
month) plus cheese/fruit platter & a nut/chocolate basket came w/my
room service breakfast at 1:00pm today.

gamin at 2pm today. fine up until 7:30 dinner at oceano (salmon). room
break + host buys me a tommy bahama shirt in the clothes shop.
return to the floor at 9:30 after room break.

everything goes south and my progression on the denom is hurting me.
actually, the $2 and $5 denom in the high limit area is hurting me.
I tap out about midnite. atm for my next day's stake, and i hit the $2
JoB, site of last Dec's 9453 RF. I hit a SF 6-T holding 3 for 500.
Switch over to 50c ddb 3-play and, holding a lone ace, hit a RF on the
bottom line for 2000 (!!). piddled around until 2:30AM .

up only 200 for the trip so far.
will post again as i got 3 more full days of fun.

posting again.

tapped out again at the end of day 3 (saturday)
played 25c, 50c and $1 single line: job, bp, ddb, jw and nsud.
almost all progs here at pepps.
also played 25c and 50c 3-play and 5-play ddb and nsud.

day 4 began with ATM w/d and backat my play plan - $1 ddb. dropped
600. next on the list is $1 3-play ddb. got a quad J for 250, a quad A
on one line, no kicker, dealt 3, for 800. kept playin as i'm still
down for the trip. not 5 min later, scored a nice RF holding two on
the top line for 4000. another 1300 on the cashout ticket puts me up
a healthy 2K for the trip.

i drop 600 playin 25c and $1 little bit of everythingand i stop for a
nice steak & lobster bisque at the Steakhouse. i drop another 1000
after dinner going up in denom on ddb.

i decide to go back to the same multi-game machine in the low ceiling
room outside the fishbar that i hit the royal on earlier. playin 50c
ddb 3-play i have a good drum-roll hand 4RF dealt. dang thing hits on
the top line for a 2000 RF handpay at 10pm.

small losses the rest of the night get offset by a dealt quad Kings
playin 50c ddb 5-play for 625. up over 2K at the end of play.

scouted the bartops in the bar outside biscottis- the one with the
huge colored chandelier. GREAT paytables: on 5 and 10-coin 25s and $1
denoms: 9/7/4 TDB, 8/5/4 SDDB, DDB+, 50c DDB with progs on the quads
(not on the rf) (10-coin 25c), 9/7/4 blackjack poker, and wid sevens
with 800/200/25/15/9/5/3/2/2/1 which i'll have to look up for the EV.

cheers, need sleep. what a rollercoaster, hopefully day 5 is a smooth
level ride home, vp-wise. 4 big RFs in 4 days if yer counting.

Monday:
I hit quad Aces w/kicker on 50c DDB TWICE (!) on the progs at the
Tuscany chandelier bartop for 1055 and 1002. Also snagged a kickerless
quad A there for $450 prog.

My finish was much like the Kansas Jayhawks finish which I was
watching in between hands from along the rail next to the sports bar.
I was playin the 50c ddb bank of 4, prog at $2345 up until a minute or
so to go in the NCAA Final Four championship. That's when I locked up
my machine and reset the RF to $2000. Headed back to the room to
count my money and get to sleep early for once.

Stats later, guess 146K coin-in, 44 hrs gamin' and up 4700 for the
5-Royal, 5-day trip.

That's over $100/hour, not counting comps. Is that a typical trip for you?

I wish. Maybe you're teasing, but I'll give you a longer answer
anyhow.

On a typical 4-5 day trip, I've come to "expect" one royal, not that
any Royal is not a big surprise of course. As I average about 10 hrs
of play per day, with 2 hrs of that being 3 or 5-play, that's about
45,000 hands or one full Royal cycle approximately in a trip.

I've swung from minus $60/hr to plus over $100/hr on trips. Maybe
+$10 to $20/hr total in the past 5 years, 25 trips. Seeing as I post a
long trip report in this group for almost every trip in the past 5
years, you must have read some of my previous reports and can search
for them if not.

45,000 is the number of hands I guesstimated for this past trip, so 5
RFs is out of whack, obviously. But no, I won't be quitting my day job.

Also, my Florence suite in the new Tuscany tower and four meals (I
forgot to eat one day) was 100% comped (pre-comped actually), so my
bill upon checkout was $0. I'm Platinum on the Passport card.

I'll certainly let you know if I get black-balled from winning too
much, but I won't be looking over my shoulder next time I'm at the Pepps.
