We were playing at the Fiesta Henderson earlier when a woman called the
change girl over to inspect a ticket she had from a TITO machine. The
ticket was practically black all over. The customer claimed she had left it
on the dashboard of her car for just an hour or so, that it was for $20 and
that the machine she was playing when she took the ticket out was the same
one she was again sitting at. The change girl called the shift manager, who
called the slot manager, and together they examined the ticket. The slot
manager could make out at least some of the identification numbers and
checked inside the machine to verify that a ticket for $20 had been printed
about an hour before. He then went to the cashier cage, verified that the
ticket number in question had not been cashed, and brought the customer her
$20.
I didn't know 1) that sun could turn those tickets black in just an hour
2) that casino management could verify tickets outstanding and
3) that the customer had any valid claim if something like this was to
happen
