Interesting news about Greektown bounceback

Wow, don't you rate well! Pretty good stuff. All I got for October was 3 x
$20, and then an amusing $25 coupon for the coffee shop. Must be used in one
sitting, and no sharing. How the heck does one person manage to eat $25 worth
of coffee shop food in one shot? Sheesh.

I'm cutting way back, too, am down a staggering $3,000 this year almost
entirely on quarter full-pay PickEm. Couldn't afford dollars anyway, and now can't
even afford quarters. Quite puzzling how one can lose that much on a 99.95%
game, but sh** happens.

Enjoy your trip, say Hi to your Dad from me, give him our best wishes, and
let me know what you find in the casinos along the way. Deb and I have to go to
northern Chicago in mid-November to watch her son graduate from the Navy boot
camp (or whatever the Navy calls it). There will be lots of nothing-to-do
time, so a diversion for a few hours might be a good thing.

I will probably be cutting back somewhat on my trips to the
casinos from now on because I've just retired (as of Friday and not
my choice) and my income is going to be much lower. When I do go, I
will be going back to playing quarters again. I certainly love
hitting those royals for four grand and up, but can't handle those
very expensive losing streaks in between anymore.
I do have a trip to see my Dad in Minnesota coming up (he's 98
and ailing) and will get there via casinos on the way there and
back. We're planning to go the Chicago route there and then the UP
route on the way back. I will do an article for Midwest Casino Guide
about it.
