So I was talking to a friend of mine, who is currently Platinum at GSR...
Now, he got Platinum via playing craps (He ONLY plays craps), so YMMV...
I asked him what his offers were for being Platinum, and he told me for the past three months, he's been getting $450 ($225 twice a month) BUT, this newest mailer, he only has $100 ($50 twice a month)
HOWEVER, I just got my new mailer for GSR...it's been weird for me, because I've really quit playing there (the last "real" play I gave them was back in October), and my mailers dropped to only discount rooms...then up to $50 a month with discount rooms...Then I get my latest mailer yesterday...$50 a month WITH free rooms (all free, 2 nights each week)
SO, it would seem that GSR is trying very hard to get business...which is GOOD, because I WILL give them my business...
On a similar note, I've gave Atlantis a lot of play recently (Climbing from NOTHING to Gold in 6 months) and there STILL sending me nothing really...
Interesting Mailer from GSR
Last August I gave Atlantis a lot of play and almost made it up to Gold level. They've been sending me lots of room and tourney offers ever since - no fp offers, though, other than what most people get for swiping during special promotions. I haven't been back to Reno since then but the offers continue.
I reduced my GSR play because I just can't win there and subsequently my mailers have ceased and I only get the occasional email offer for free or discounted rooms.
