Injured On Duty

Howdy

Today I crossed the state line from NJ To Pa. to see my miracle working
Chiropractor. Yesterday while playing my usual JB in my usual position which is
my legs straddling the machine in the spaces on either side, where most
people place their drinks and stuff, I felt an unpleasant sensation in the right
side of my lower back between the spine and the hip. I did not know whether an
organ was going bad or I had once again hurt a portion of my back.

I tried to play on (trooper that I am) besides I was in my "catch up mode"
but the discomfort won out. I spend an uncomfortable day and night with
sporadic spasms. Don,t try this at home kiddies.

While in his office he explained to me while my contorted positioning may
bring comfort to one area of my body, it was harming another, He also explained
I was a candidate for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Just what a person wants to
hear.

Naturally I left his office after a treatment and headed to AC. I tried
playing with both feet on the ground. Man was that awkward for a six footer. I
lasted less than an hour and was in spasm again by the time I got home.

On went the heating pad and down went the aspirins.

I guess I am going to have to take it easy for a while. Canasta anyone?

I'm 6' 0" and I've never had any difficulty or discomfort playing VP
@AC with both feet on the floor. I'm usually sitting in the chair in
front of the machine, like everyone else, with no problems or pain.

But the main reason for this post/reply is to say that I'll be @AC
(mostly Resorts and HOB@Showboat) next Friday(8/25). If anyone wants
to meet up for a beer, a meal, or some VP, just let me know.

P.S. I'm trying to rejoin ACVPP, but can't find
a link to it anywhere. If someone'd send me the
link or an invite, I'd be most grateful. THANX!
