Let's face it, "Indian" has gotten into the lexicon, everybody knows
who you're referring to when you use it, and most importantly,

Here are some of the unwritten 'rules' at the Indian casino I work
for...........
Don't use the word 'Indian'.(Use Tribal member, instead)
DON'T call any Tribal member 'Chief.' (Use Mr. OR his first name if you know
it)
Don't criticize the decisions of the Tribe. (In public, anyway. Private
conversations are OK, IF they remain private.)
Don't criticize the decisions of the ordinary managers, supervisors, VP's
etc. (They are only following Tribal decisions.)
Don't NOT act surprised upon hearing from other employees about the condition
of rooms when Tribal members vacate.
Don't act surprised when you are treated rudely by Tribal members. (VERY
rudely, much of the time)
Don't act surprised when your read about how much money EACH man, woman &
child gets from the Tribe annually.
Don't act surprised when you find out how much money the casino REALLY makes.
Don't tell Indian jokes. (Even if they are funny)
Oh, it's not all don'ts.......Some are do's
Do tell anyone about the free medical benefits.
Do tell anyone about the free meals.
Do tell anyone about the free parking in the hot sun area.(Don't dare park in
any shady spot. DON'T DARE)
Comments anyone? Or is everybody too indianed out?
