Indian Casinos but affiliated with Non-Indian Casinos like Harrahs

Will you trust these Indian Casinos which are affiliated with big
name Vegas casinos such as Harrahs, that they have honest vp machines?
(not talking about the Pay Schedules here)
or
Will you threat them the same as the other Indian casinos since they
are not in vegas?

I'll qualify my reply in saying that I don't live/play in the region
of one of these casinos.

I personally have modest hesitation about playing in Native Amer
casinos in general. I'd restrict my play to known mainstream make
machines.

With respect to Harrah's managed casinos, while lacking the regulatory
oversight of the state, I'd place strong faith in Harrah's integrity.
They'd have no incentive not to run an up-and-up operation and to the
extent the Indian owners were involved with day to day operations,
they'd be absolute fools to mess with Harrah's.

I am hoping that Kevin L. will relent and answer this question.

Why? Do any of them have independently audited financial statements that are
publicly released? If not, they must remain suspect.

I think the real question is how much control does Harrah's (or other
management companies) have over the casino. I also believe Harrah's
integrity is without question and they would not knowingly participate
in shady practices. If you recall a few years ago some lady in an
Indian casino near Pheonix (managed by Harrah's) hit a large jackpot
on a slot machine. The Indians refused to pay her claiming the
machine malfunctioned (wonder how many other jackpots have been
refused because of "malfuntioning" machines). Anyway, Harrah's paid
the jackpot from their own money.

If you hit the "big one" in an Indian casino and they refuse to pay
you what recourse do you have? None!!!

We have played in the Harrah's managed Prairie Band casino near Topeka
and, on limited experience, can see no difference in machine
performance. We had some pretty decent wins; no royals but a couple
straight flushes and plenty of quads.

Thank you Rick and Harry for your replies!

Talk about "malfunctioning vp machine". I just saw one last weekend
at an Indian casino in the San Diego, CA area. The machine this lady
was playing was doing a hit every draw or every other draw (from 2
pairs to 3 of a kind to full house to quads, you name it). Everyone
around her keeps watching over her machine since it was louder than
the other machines and each hit makes that winning sound. She
quietly kept on cashing out each time her credits goes around 1,000.
When she gave up the machine, she has accumulated maybe 50 or more
tickets on her left hand for I would say around $2,000.00 (not bad
for a 2-cent vp machine with Max of 100 coins or $2 max play).

Then another guy came over and said that the week before, this same
bank of machines were put "Out of Service" for a few hours right
after he hit the jackpot of over $2,400 for the RF.

Maybe they deserved to get "malfunctioning machines" that gives out
more winnings --- when they mess around with the IGT chips?
Hmmm...the latest TV campaign of Arnold (The Terminator) shows that
he'll make sure that the Indian casinos pay taxes, etc. If elected,
maybe he can also do something to ensure vp machines on Indian
casinos are as honest as the ones in las vegas!?

I know they don't have to follow state laws but don't they have to follow federal laws so you could always sue them in feeral court
