Imperial Palace

I've enjoyed reading your posts for many years, under several names. You are
obviously very smart, quite knowledgeable in the ways of gambling, and very
entertaining!

And, it is pretty clear, you have a chip on your shoulder the size of
Delaware. Not intended as an insult, just my personal observation. I'm sure many
who read your posts would agree.

But I'm sure that has no connection to your being mistreated by casino
personnel. Not saying it was justified, just that I can understand why you
might have been singled out. People with chips are just asking for them to be
knocked off!

Winning is one thing. How you handle yourself when you win is something
else. Just guessing here, but "Aw shucks!" and "Wow, I was really lucky!"
probably aren't in your repertoire. Not if your "live" persona matches your "online"
one.

I remember an episode of the show, Dinosaurs. The two clans were at war, and
the military uniforms of one clan had a decoration on the front, which can
best be described as a series of concentric circles. In other words, it looked
just like a target! And they wondered why they were losing the war!

Brian (who has been treated with nothing but friendliness and respect, in
over 20,000 hours of casino play)

I myself have been assaulted and
detained at least half a dozen times that I can recall, for the
heinous crime of WINNING. Three times at blackjack, and three times at
video poker. I have been cheated by the house on innumerable
occasions, and had my winnings, or a portion thereof, STOLEN OUTRIGHT
in several instances. I have been hauled away from a dollar VP machine
where I had accumulated several thousand credits, and a hour later had
a security guard hand me a cashout that was $1300 short. I've been
slammed against a wall and told to "shut up or we'll kick your face
in" after winning $700 at a $5 blackjack table. And all this happened
quite recently--within the last five years.

You are hypothesizing, and mixing up cause and effect. I have the
attitude that I have toward casinos because of the way I've been
treated by them, NOT: the casinos treat me badly because I have
a "bad attitude".

As an advantage player, I try to stay under the radar if at all
possible. Therefore: in any situation that remains under my control,
there is as little interaction between myself and the casino as
possible. It follows, then, that if a confrontation occurs, it is
usually instigated by the casino. The trigger for this has been my
enjoying a large and rapid win at either BJ or VP.

I'm sure that you don't believe me, because you have already
articulated a preconceived notion wherein you could not possibly
have had any knowledge one way or the other--in other words, knowing
nothing whatsoever about my gambling activities didn't stop you from
proffering an opinion about them.

Oh and BTW, saying something insulting, and then following it with a
disclaimer, is exactly equivalent to saying something insulting and
NOT following it with a disclaimer.
