Impact of MSS Scratch Cards on VP EV?

We're heading to LV next month and staying at MSS thanks to a marketing
promo giving us 4 free nights and double points.

I like to relax at quarter 9/6 JOB. I'm trying to calculate the total
EV of the game counting the average value of the scratch cards and the
0.2% cash back we'll be getting. I've assumed an average scratch card
value of $2.50 (10 credits). I've gone into my VPTutor program and
adjusted the 5-coin Royal, SF and 4oak payouts by 10 credits each.
Running the numbers gets an EV of 100.043%. Add in the 0.2% cash back
and I get a total EV of 100.243%

Does this sound right?

Have there been any semi-scientific studies done on these scratch cards
to determine the average value?

Sounds right for quarters.

Average values received are reported occasionally.
I guesstimate that it's been under $2.50 for me
recently.

My wife and I had a total of 15 scratch cards (for 25 cent play) on our
last trip and every single one of them was for $2. We used to get
around 70% $2 cards and the rest $3 (with the very occasional $5).

I also had 19 scratch cards for nickel play that were each for $1.

No idea on the answer to your question, but I can tell you your EV will drop if you play the 9/6 bartops and avail yourself of the great micros served there.

OTOH, I do this all the time and am more that happy to sacrifice the EV hit for this purpose....

Enjoy MSS - it really is a hidden little jewel - especially since they have re-done the rooms.

I know exactly what you mean. I've had the pleasure of enjoying
several Black Chips during a particularly long session. Hope to
repeat that experience soon.

Agreed. Seems such a small price to pay.

When did they re-do the rooms? Since last summer?

I think so. New colors, better beds, dressed the place up pretty well.

Brian, I've never had a problem with booking a room - you obviously have? Either way that is a small part of the experience. The staff on property has always been fine.
