I'm Still Here

Guys,

I've kinda been out of the loop for a while. I'm only going to the
casinos mayb once or twice a month now,(and tacking less money with
me when I do) if that much. I took some really big hits, financially,
(probably like the rest of you) on my investments this year and have
to back off my play.

I noticed that we are not getting any gifts from GT this year out of
their calendar. Too bad, I liked going down to the place and seeing
what it was (even though it was usually just a trinket). The calendar
from MGM offers more freebies to the gambler than GT's does, so I
think I will be playing there more this year, as long as they
continue to have full-pay Pick'Em

The last two trips, I won more at MGM (several hundred)than at GT
playing Pick'Em, but we all know that it's just random luck....don't
we?

Just sent a copy off of my new poker book, "Texas Hold'em STRATEGIES,
CONCEPTS, TACTIS & PLOYS" to the first publisher. We'll see what
happens? I'm used to rejection as my last book was rejected eight
times. Looking back now, I can see what a waste of time it was trying
to sell a poker-joke book to gambling publishers. They want serious
stuff only. This new book is serious, but it does contain some not-so-
serious VP Pappy poker quotes like:

"If it wasn't for all the money I keep losing, this poker thing could
be a lot of fun."
--VP Pappy

"In poker, choosing the right cards to play is like trying to decide
which wild mushrooms to eat. Choosing the wrong ones could be fatal."
--VP Pappy

"It's just not fair that only the really bad poker players get to
drink as much alcohol as they want to without it affecting their
game."
--VP Pappy

"If you are constantly in need of divine intervention, in the form of
a miracle card, you are probably headed for poker hell."
--VP Pappy

I'm also in the process of re-working my joke book (taking out all
the poker advice and quotes) and then I'm going to send it to joke
book publisher only. I no longer have nuch faith in it, but who knows?

Anyway, hang in there guys, and I hope to see some of you soon.
