I'm running so bad, I lose to an ATM

I don't use casino ATM's, I don't play quick quads or 10-play anything, I don't rely on mysteries from the slot clubs, and I haven't written a check in over 6 years. But as far as being cooled off by a game, well, I've had that happen a time or two, and even Las Vegas gets cooled off by rain once in a while. Good to see it's over with....for now.

My game of choice is 10-play DDB QQ. There are some wild rides to be taken with this choice. Up til about 7 weeks ago, I was doing pretty good this year. For the last 7 weeks, I've been on a major cooler. About 2 weeks ago, I had alot going on & didn't read my emails carefully enuff. I get email saying...come in Fri. & get mystery free play based on your play, so I went. Lost my "bank", & sometimes I leave, sometimes I write a check & sometimes I use ATM. Today, I decided to use ATM.

To each his own. I LOVE playingTen Play Quick Quads --- both because the game is fun and under certain circumstances is quite profitable. On Halloween in a few weeks I'll probably play $250,000 through these machines at the South Point.Receiving benefits from slot clubs is a key part of my success. (On Halloween, for example, the above play would have an EV of -$875 without including the slot club benefits and +$625 if you include the slot club. The 2x points from the slot club that day will be the ENTIRE REASON I'll be there that day.) Using casino credit (interest free cash loans for 30 days whenever you want them) is a valuable asset for financially responsible gamblers. Among many other things, it allows you to go to casinos without the risks of carrying large amounts of cash. This is extremely beneficial when you are playing for large stakes and need to go through airports or drive through states where police checks are common. When a particular session goes south, paying by check is convenient. In the past six years I've probably written 30-50 checks to casinos. (And I've received maybe 100 checks from casinos in the same period). But like Rob, I never use ATMs in casinos. So I guess that's ONE thing we agree on. Bob

I never use ATM in casino either...too expensive!
However, in Reno now, it seems like the marker process is cut down from 30 days to 7 days!
Used to, I'd take it out and use it to put my session in, then at the end of the month, once all my cashback had came in, I'd use THAT to pay the marker back and repeat process...but now, they want their money within the WEEK...

Im still a low roller, but I will probably apply for my first credit line early next year, but still use casino ATM's if I haven't been able to stop at a bank ATM first, or need to reload.

of course:

Capitol One refunds all fees up to $15 a month, and I own a few shares of Global Cash Access that has a huge marker share of the ATMs in the casinos

GCA also handles cage cash and marker services for many casinos and was one of the first to get a licence in NV to process payments for internet wagering..
