I want to thank everyone who gave me advise on purchasing the
WinPoker program. I got it and have been practicing. I notice that
there are posts about the machines that have been removed from
various casino but I would like to know where the 9/6 Double Double
Bonus machines actually are. I leave next week for a 5 day trip and
would really love to have a good time!
Please......will someone tell me where they are. I have a car so we
can go anywhere in town.
Thank you, Sue
I'm Ready. Where are the 9/6 DDB machines?
Please read the vpFREE FAQ, and then ask your question
about 9/6 DDB (if you still need or want an answer).

Sorry to post a non-direct-answer (likeTom/vpFree did also), but maybe his
implication is that as 9/6 DDB is a 98.98% ER game, not QUITE close
enough to 100%, that (1) they are not listed in our vpFree database [They
ARE NOT] and (2) the group might not want to talk a lot or even a little (?)
about 9/6 DDB, being that it isn't "Full Pay". Even tho' you didn't ask for a
lecture on what a crappy play it is, someone will give you one.
Not me! I love the game.
Actually, I'm SURE there are MANY folks, active posters and Lurkers who
PLAY and know full well where the 9/6 DDBs are located in the casinos.
You should specify: CITY, and DENOMINATIONS (.05, .25, $1, $5, higher) at
least.
I have been playing in RENO myself, I'd say about 1/3 of my time is at $1 & .25
denoms 9/6 DDB. They are USUALLY Progressive on the Royal jackpot
(starts at 4000 credits and cycles UP). There are usually large banks of
machines (8-20 machines), with the same Prog Jackpot. So, ask again if a
future trip has you goin' to Reno.
Bob Dancer just came out with a Strategy guide for DDB. It might be way too
much math and agonizing detail & analysis for you, but, hey, it's something to
study on when you're not in Nevada. $16.50 at bobdancer.com
Anyhow, I hope you get reply posts or private e-mails. DDB is a great game
unless less than Full-Pay is against your religion. Which it is for a lot of folks
on this board, nothing against that dogma, I think it's good that everyone
know their comfort zone. It's important to enjoy your time at the machines!
I like the bigger payff on the quads, and snagging the almighty kicker with
quad As, 2s, 3s or 4s makes for darn exciting Mini-Jackpots. ALL my w-2G
tax forms (for jackpots over $1200) have come from play on DDB. That
1.02% less than 100% seems to disappear with one extra Jackpot or mini-
Jackpot during a session.
So if the answer doesn't get posted, I hope you get private e-mail replies in
time for your trip. AND I hope you can write us at least a brief trip report after,
let us know where you found them, how you did, etc.

*********************************************************************
Mark, there is a full pay version of DDB, namely, 10/6 DDB. The
extra one coin pay for the full house gives the game an optimal
return of 100.0670%. Playing this game using 9/6 DDB strategy yields
a sub-optimal return of 100.0664%, a difference of ONLY 0.0006% (!)
(please correct me if I am wrong).
I think we need to point this out to Sue because 10/6 DDB is
available in Las Vegas. In Reno, according to the vpFREE Casino Data
Base, 10/6 DDB is available at the Peppermill in $, and MS 5c, 10c,
and 25c (but you can always play one line on the MS machine). I know
you like to play at the Silver Legacy in Reno and I hope they will
install some 10/6 DDB games there in the future !
At the 25c single line level, the difference in EVs between 9/6 and
10/6 DDB is about $10 per hour, not something to be slighted.
L.Wluiki
If your trip is to Vegas, why not play the the 10/6
DDB machines? I seem to remember these are found at
Las Vegas Club, Arizona Charlies and the Palms.
VPHomepage will tell you other locations.
