royal at one coin is a good hit because all hits are good.
If your playing 4 coins, I think I'd play the extra coin.
However, the bottom line is having fun. When I first started
playing Vegas IP was a motel. I think I had the most
fun playing 5 cent 3 coin progressive mechanical slot
machines in Caesars and Holiday Inn. It's all relative. In
fact, sometime I think folks who play 5 cent have MORE FUN
than those who play at $5 or $10 coin>>
thanks for your reply and suggestion...You are right about having fun. My wife and I still have great fun in Las Vegas and in California where we play. We are "low rollers" and happy if we come back with any winnings or don't lose much. I have a bunch of theory's about VP which are probably hogwash. Most all the people here will laugh at them. I try different strategies with graduated betting, change machines a lot and when in Las Vegas, change Casinos..but you know what? when I am changing machines and moving to other casinos, I'm not losing. People laugh at this because, they say, you are not building up the comps at any one casino. Well, I will pay for my rooms and food, thank you. Rooms and food are cheap in casinos..
I know of some .05, .10 and .25C machines that pay RF 4000 for a 5 coin bet and allow you to go up to 20 coins. The only RF, I have ever got was on the nickel at 5 coin. I like to play the nickel 5 coin with a graduated bet strategy starting with 5 up to 20. I put $20 in and if I lose ,go to dimes.Keep in mind, these are lousy pay tables, however,I saw some 9/6 JOB.25 machines the other day that paid RF 800 for one coin. We also like graduated bet, short coin .25 DDB. The pay tables are bad in CA, but if you get the Aces w/ kicker, you can win some $$. My wife won a couple hundred using this strategy in CA on our last casino visit and it was 9/5 DDB. We see a lot of .25 8/5 DDB in CA. No way, that I will play full coin on them. Having fun is the key...
