Unless there was a change recently, the answer is no withholding. Even
though I am from IL, I have not played in IL for about 18 months. If you
get a W2G from IL you are liable for the 3% tax and every state has
different rules about crediting it against their state return. In the case
of IL residents paying tax in other states you can credit the IL return at
the lower of the tax paid or 3%. I have two Indiana W2Gs this year that I
will have to worry about.
