IGT Game Setup, was Re: Name New JOB Game in Wynn

This brings up an interesting question. Not so long ago, the techs chose the
game, and then the (rounded) return percentage (with perfect play). They
made these choices from a predefined setup menu. For example, if they had been
told to install 10/7 DB, they would first select "Double Bonus Poker" and then
select "100.2%" from the various menus. They could NOT create a game with
modified payoffs, even if the casino wanted them to. They were limited to what
game versions were available on the menus. So if the SD wanted a version of
9/7 DB with a SF that paid 500 coins, he was out of luck!

My question is, in these brand new Game Kings, can the payoffs be modified
to anything the SD chooses? Maybe yes, since it seems odd that there would be
a version of JOB on the menu with a strange number like 450 for a SF. Unless,
of course, there have been versions created of each game that pay just under
100% with perfect play, perhaps intended for venues which prohibit games
that potentially pay back over 100%.

Does anyone know? Bill C maybe?

Thanks,
Brian (still checking machines for that elusive 11/8 DB!)

All games have predetermined pay tables that are approved
by the NCB. The slot tech just selects the game that is on the paper
work that he is given to set up a game.

If casino wanted a special pay table , the casino would request the
pay table, the pay table would be submitted to the NCB from
the manufacture and after approval be put in to the casino.

The new gamekings do have a lot more pay tables to choose from
that the older games.
