Last week I was with a friend who was cashing out at the Silver Legacy
cashier window. While waiting to be paid, we chatted.
Knowing her from her days as a floor supervisor, I related an incident where
my wife was overpaid $100 by a cashier. When we found out, I advised my wife
to take it back immediately. The cashier was profoundly grateful & we went
on about our business. I didn't realize the impact until the SL cashier told
us about their procedures.
No they aren't docked for the amount but in a way they are docked for it
because they are suspended for 2 days for the 1st mistake. The 2nd mistake is
another 2-day suspension. You're fired on the 3rd.
My friend said this is similar to where she used to work.
The cashier that we were talking to said she made her first mistake in 24
yrs just a week ago.
I wonder if anybody makes it to retirement?
