If West Virginia is so bad then........

I'm basically located in Central Ohio so I was looking at the closest
options and WV was it. Since everyone said stay away I am wondering
if detroit is any better ? I heard the Indiana Riverboats are no good
either. Just looking for options. Let me know your opinions.

Thanks everyone.

Since you will be traveling several hours to any of
those destinations (IN, WV, MI) my opinion is that you
should simply go to Las Vegas instead. The travel
cost might be a bit more, but in LV...

1) There is full pay VP.
2) In general, they offer more comps and discounts.
3) Not to slight those other places, but I think there
are more "tourist" things to see and do.

There might be some dissent about that last point. It
depends on what you're interested in.

If it's true that WV state law prohibits any casinos there from
offering any paybacks over 95%(or so) the Indiana riverboats would
almost HAVE TO BE better, no?

Here is the info on West Virginia from the American Casino Guide
Website.

"The maximum allowable bet on a machine is $2. Most of the gaming
machines pay out coins or tokens but there are also some machines
which will only print out a receipt which must be taken to a cashier.
West Virginia law requires that VLT's return a minimum of 80% to a
maximum of 95%. VLT games include: slots, blackjack, keno and
numerous versions of poker. The minimum gambling age is 18."
